Ontario is standing up for its workers, businesses and communities as President Trump continues to escalate his unjustified tariffs. With a $30 billion tariff relief and support plan, Ontario’s PC government is helping businesses manage rising costs, protecting good-paying jobs and strengthening our economy for the long term.
We acted early because Ontario couldn’t afford to wait. Our plan is providing businesses with access to financing, helping manufacturers invest and grow, strengthening Ontario supply chains and supporting communities and industries hit hardest by U.S. tariffs.
As part of our plan, we’re:
- Expanding the $1 billion Protect Ontario Financing Program to help tariff-impacted businesses cover immediate costs, including payroll, leases and utilities, and keep workers on the job.
- Providing an additional $1.3 billion through the Ontario Made Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit to help manufacturers invest, expand and keep good-paying jobs here at home.
- Investing $150 million through the Ontario Together Trade Fund to help businesses strengthen supply chains, become more competitive and reach new markets.
- Investing $40 million through the Trade-Impacted Communities Program to attract new investment, create opportunities and strengthen local economies.
- Providing up to $5 billion through the Protect Ontario Account to help businesses manage tariff impacts, protect jobs and keep strategic sectors strong.
- Leveraging $8 billion through the Building Ontario Fund to finance major projects in critical sectors, attract investment and get more projects built.
